The scale was administered to the 380 participants using non-probability sampling. It has been verified that the values of the goodness of fit of the original scale are outside the range of optimal values. The adjustment of factors was carried out by eliminating items 7 and 19 and obtaining the re-specified model of four factors with accumulated variance of 52.82%. The factor analysis of the re-specified model yielded acceptable goodness of fit values with x2 / gl = 2.8; RMSEA = .069; SRMR = .051; CFI = .92 and TLI = .90. The reliability of the total scale showed very good results in Cronbach's alpha and McDonalds Omega (.923 and .922). Finally, it was determined that the re- specified 4-factor scale with the items eliminated reveals the certainty of reliability and validity. EML, recommended by international organizations for up to six months, provides benefits for the child, such as protection against disease and cognitive development, and for the mother, by reducing the risk of certain cancers and postpartum depression. However, only 42.5% of the participants knew that EML should be maintained until six months, and knowledge about benefits for the mother and breastfeeding techniques was low. The survey showed that 43% had a fair level, 38% a poor level and 20% a good level of knowledge. These results indicate the need to strengthen EML education, especially in sectors with less access to information and medical resources. It currently constitutes a problem due to its high prevalence, mainly in health professionals. Methods: it is a cross-sectional descriptive study, with a sample of 15 workers, where the methods used were the interview and the Maslach Burnout Questionnaire. Results: among the main results, Burnout syndrome was found in a high range, mainly for the dimension of “emotional fatigue”. In the case of “depersonalization”, the results were average and for the “personal fulfillment” dimension the indices were low, which implies a health problem for the study subjects. Conclusions: characterizing the syndrome in health professionals is vital to understand, prevent and treat it. Due to its consequences on the environment and the performance of organizations, the prevention and treatment of the syndrome transcends the individual and allows significant benefits to be obtained (greater economic income, better customer treatment, less absenteeism, among others) for the workplace. of affected or at-risk individuals. This study was designed to evaluate the patterns of computed tomography imaging findings in patients diagnosed with cerebrovascular accident in Nigeria. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional retrospective study design was adopted to select 320 patients with stroke who underwent CT imaging at a radiological facility in Ibadan, Nigeria. Data such as CT imaging findings in CVA, age and gender of the patients were collected from the CT radiological reports archive for cases done from January 2023 to October 2023. Results: Males were highest 208(65%) and the majority 104(32%) were within the age group of 60-69years. Based on CT findings, the majority 180(56.3%) was haemorrhage and the least 20 (6.3%) was transient ischemic attack. Out of 120 cases of infarcts, 27 (22.5%) were female and males were 110 (61.1%) out of 180 cases of haemorrhagic CVA. Conclusion: Male preponderance was noted in this study. Older adults were commonly affected and haemorrhagic CVA was the commonest CT imaging finding. Improving access to health care for males, and increasing screening and early detection of CVA, could also help to reduce the gender disparity. Erroneously for many years it was considered a disease of men and therefore they were the most studied in terms of risk factors, symptoms, treatments and complications. Ischemic heart disease mainly affects postmenopausal women because by decreasing the estrogen load, cardiovascular risk increases. Therefore, we will study the characteristics of acute myocardial infarction in women over 50 years of age to learn about this highly prevalent disease from another gender. Material and methods: for this study we will carry out an observational, retrospective, cross-sectional and analytical investigation. At the Instituto Cardiovascular de Buenos Aires, collecting information from the medical records of female patients over 50 yearsof age with acute myocardial infarction in the period May- July 2022. Results: of 22 patients analyzed in this study, 19 of them successfully survived the cardiovascular event and only 3 had fatal consequences. These patients, who were between the ages of 53 and 94 (with almost 50 % of them between the ages of 70 and 80) had comorbidities at the time of the coronary event. 72 % had high blood pressure, while only 18 % had diabetes. In the interview we found that 77 % of them led a sedentary life, 36 % were smokers, and 22 % had suffered a previous myocardial infarction. When performing the admission electrocardiogram, 36 % revealed ST-segment elevation while 63 % presented ST-segment depression. The treatment of choice in 36 % of the patients was transluminal coronary angioplasty within the first hour of admission, while 63 % received the same treatment on a scheduled basis in the following days. Conclusion: based on what was analyzed in this study, transluminal coronary angioplasty is the treatment with the highest success rate for acute-stage infarction, because it is a minimally invasive procedure and has a low mortality rate. Sometimes when performed together with the placement of a stent, the percentage of recurrence decreases since the artery is kept patent. Its main objective is to restore blood flow to the heart tissue with the intention of preventing a more complex procedure. In neurosurgery, the incidence of infectious complications is low, estimated at around 2-3% in general. Material and methods: A retrospective observational analysis was performed at the Hospital General de Agudos F. Santojanni, located in the city of Buenos Aires, CABA, in the intensive care unit, during a period of 7 months . Results: A review of 60 clinical histories was made, of which 21 were selected because they coincide with the objectives that were set out, However, the infected patients were 12 patients (57.14%) . Conclusion: it is necessary to improve the practice of healthcare personnel in the management of ICU patients. That a study on these neurosurgical procedures should be carried out to prevent the risk factors from being as strong as they have been so far. However, this practice confronts us with one of the transcendental problems, which is the inconsistency of the optimal oxygen level established in the clinical practice guidelines. Currently the treatment is liberal and leads to abnormally high levels of oxygen causing damage locally and systemically. The consequence of this is increased mortality in patients who are treated with high levels of oxygen. In view of this, conservative therapy was proposed to avoid hyperoxemia and mitigate its adverse effects. The optimal level of oxygen for the treatment of patients admitted to the intensive care unit remains uncertain. Material and methods: a comprehensive electronic search of the relevant literature on conservative and liberal treatment in intensive careunit inpatients was performed through medical databases as well as reference search engines such as Pubmed, Cochrane, trip, epistemonikos, Australian New Zealand clinical trial registry and clinicaltrial.gov. For this, the following keywords and MESH terms were used: “conservative oxygen therapy”, “conservative oxygen therapy and mortality”, “conservative oxygen therapy and critical care”, “conservative oxygen therapy and critically ill”. Randomized clinical trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses were identified without considering publication status, reported results, date or year of publication, and language. Results: were included 21 systematic review and meta-analysis papers that compared liberal with conservative treatment and were within the inclusion criteria and 13 randomized clinical trials. Conclusion: currently, the available evidence on targeted oxygen therapy in intensive care patients remains inconclusive. More randomized clinical trials are needed to determine the ideal oxygen target for intensive care patients and its impact on mortality. Augmented reality adds to the subject's real-world sensory information through computer-generated sound, text, and graphics that are projected into the user's natural visual and auditory fields to provide a real-time interactive experience in a common environment. A bibliographic review was carried out with the objective of updating the current state of the use of augmented reality in physical rehabilitation. Augmented reality systems consist of a user interface that offers a motivational component to patients to perform exercises, distracting them from the potential pain they may feel during exercises. Additionally, they can be implemented in the patient's home and eliminate frequent visits to rehabilitation clinics. Among the most used systems are ARS, RehaBio, NeuroR, AR Fruit Ninja, MirrARbilitation, SleeveAR, ARIS and BRU. Its uses have been focused mainly on post-surgical orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation in patients with strokes. Augmented reality offers significant benefits over in-person rehabilitation and other technologies such as virtual reality, which can speed up the recovery process and improve patients' quality of life. The hospital management faced challenges such as the conscientious objection of some obstetrics professionals. To overcome these obstacles, several actions were proposed, including training professionals in gender equity, expanding care services and improving communication with the community. An interdisciplinary Nurse Liaison team was established to facilitate access to abortion care and a registry system was implemented to monitor outcomes. These measures are expected to reduce barriers to access to sexual and reproductive health, empowering women and pregnant women to make informed decisions about their health. This intersectoral approach and specialized training in gender equity aims to close access gaps and improve the quality of care. In the Americas, 15 million people between 30 and 69 years of age die each year due to these pathologies, and in Colombia, 76% of morbidity is due to chronic diseases such as psychiatric diseases, hypertensive heart disease, heart disease, diabetes and epilepsy. These diseases affect not only patients but also their caregivers, who suffer physical, social, biological and mental alterations, as well as changes in their social and economic dynamics. Caring for a chronically ill person can lead caregivers to experience insomnia, depression and anxiety, due to the responsibility of meeting the needs of the sick person. It is crucial to address the mental health of caregivers and perform specific nursing interventions to prevent and manage caregiver burnout, thereby improving the quality of life for both patients and their caregivers. Anxiety and depression are common among caregivers, influenced by sudden role change, decreased free time and leisure activities, and exclusive focus on caregiving. From the nursing discipline, it is essential to develop holistic interventions that include the family and community in the care plan, improving the relationship and communication between nurse, patient and caregiver. Education and constant follow-up are fundamental tools to support caregivers and detect mental health problems early. We present the case of a 3-year-old preschooler who came to the health services for presenting frequent wet cough and fever of up to 39 degrees Celsius of 8 days of evolution, who was previously treated with oral Amoxacillin in his health area without resolution of the symptoms. On physical examination, the patient was found to be in good general condition, where only the presence of crackling rales in the right lung base was positive; antimicrobial therapy was started, showing clinical improvement and cessation of the febrile symptoms. On the fifth day of evolution the febrile symptoms reappeared with peaks of up to 39 degrees Celsius. Physical and radiological examination showed worsening of the symptoms. Results of nasopharyngeal exudate were received, which showed Klebsiella pneumophila. An evolutionary chest X-ray was indicated, resulting in a denser and more homogeneous opacity with radiolucent areolar images towards its upper contour that kept occupied upper and middle segments of the right lung field, showing a phase of hepatization of the process with images suggestive of pneumatoceles. Antimicrobial spectrum was extended with Meropenen associated to Vancomycin according to antibiogram and possible sensitivity according to the most frequent etiology according to age, with satisfactory resolution of the picture. Atypical etiologies, including Klebsiella pneumophila, should be suspected in the case of slowly resolving pneumonia. Recently, healing protocols have been developed that employ extracellular matrices (ECM), achieving complete wound regeneration. These protocols require an individualized care plan led by nurses, who work in multidisciplinary teams and provide a holistic view of the patient, thus improving care management processes. The nursing process, which includes research, logical analysis and interpersonal techniques, has been shown to improve the quality of care. In this study, evidence was presented on the successful management of chronic wounds through a comprehensive protocol in a first level hospital in Girón, Colombia. Three patients with venous insufficiency who had received conventional management without success were selected. The assessment was performed using the NANDA domains, with a diagnosis of impaired skin integrity. The protocol included disinfection, application of Regenesis® matrix and appropriate dressings, with daily photographic follow-up. This systematic review highlights that an effective preventive approach combines sun protection, education, and workplace policies. Advanced sunscreens with DNA repair complexes are useful in reducing precursor lesions such as actinic keratosis. The implementation of workplace policies that provide protective equipment and create shaded areas is especially effective for outdoor workers. Educational programs in schools and on-the-job training encourage sun protection practices from childhood and in work settings, although their effectiveness depends on demographic and cultural factors. It is recommended to tailor interventions to each population and explore their long-term sustainability, as well as to evaluate the economic impact of these policies to achieve effective skin cancer prevention. Due to this transformation of society’s habits, many age groups have been significantly affected. The main and most worrying social group susceptible to drug abuse is the female society, since due to the great coincidence between the reproductive age and the period prone to the use of social attractions, occasionally in a gestation situation, the joint use in any dose generates and potentiates the consequences to fetal maternal life. The little-known social effects go through, when death does not occur, due to malformation of the fetus, nervous compromise, up to the manifestations after birth in the daily life of the child of a user mother. Taking this situation into account and facing this problem of the current world that threatens health, the study will demonstrate the most diverse maternal and fetal manifestations due to the use of substances or drugs of abuse, suggesting as a final objective the creation of information media. capable of keeping the potentially reproductive female society informed about the hidden curses to fetal life in gestation. Material and methods: systematic review based on searches in the PubMed, Google Scholar, and TripDataBase databases. Scielo and others, with the identification of articles that present the proposed theme as the central theme with the identification of the determinant factors for the development of substance abuse and its different forms of affectation in the gestational period with some scores of the consequences in the puerperal period. Results: with the corresponding search strategies, 73 articles were found in the Pubmed database, 10 articles in the Google Scholar, TripDataBase and Scielo databases. Directing the selection according to criteria, 22 articles were chosen and used for analysis of the systematic review. Conclusion: the problematic use of substances potentially harmful to pregnancy continues to be a challenge for public health. With this, it is of fundamental importance to raise awareness through the creation of health promotion programs based on rational, comprehensive, and multidisciplinary consultations, which guarantee the reduction of consumption and maternal-fetal protection.
